Why have a site called Poole Quay.com?After many years at sea and having had the privilege of travelling all around the world, I have now settled in Poole which I really think is a wonderful place to live. For the benefit of the many visitors that we have all year round, I thought it would be nice to share all the information about the exciting things to see and do at Poole Quay and in the surrounding area. No wonder they say, "Poole's a beautiful place." or "Poole Quay is the place to be." Poole Quay Boat Haven - 01202 649488 After many years of negotiation, Poole's new £2.75 million Dolphin Yacht Haven has the capacity for 125 visiting boats of up to 15 metres in length on pontoon berths with water and electricity available on all pontoons. The local fishermen have 70 berths on a seperate pontoon system next door, and the newly built breakwater allows additional craft to be protected when lying alongside the Quay. The bespoke floating facilities office and security centre is on the water just outside Dolphin Quays. A limited number of vessels up to 30 metres can be accommodated by special arrangement at the Haven. Modern toilet and shower facilities are avaialble within the Dolphin Quays. Garbage, waste oil and pump out facilities are currently available within the Haven. The summer season lasts from the 1st April until the end of October. During the winter period winter lets are available for residents and visitors. The Quay itself will be used for berthing visiting leisure craft in excess of 15 metres. When the Haven however is full, boats of less than 15 metres will normally be offered berthing along the quay at Port St. James.
